Empowering Women
In Kerry
Welcome to the Phoenix Womens Centre & SHED (Support, Health, Education, Diversity) an organisation dedicated to engage, educate and empower women. We support women through the provision of information, counselling, training, activities, social engagement.
We encourage respect, diversity and equality.
We will do all that we can for the women in our community. We are committed to provide an inclusive, non-judgemental, positive environment. Our SHED is an opportunity to interact informally and participate in a range of activities.
Need Help?
There are numerous situations in life that women can find themselves in where external support may be required. While there are plenty of helpful resources available we perhaps are not all aware of them or how to get in touch with them. We have attempted to provide a comprehensive list of the most commonly required services that are available locally and nationally to support women when they need it most. We are also only too happy to help you get support or advise you in anyway we can.

The PHOENIX Women's S.H.E.D.
(Support, Health, Education, Diversity)
Improving and expanding our services to Kerry women has always been a priority to the Phoenix Women's Centre so we have recently opened the Phoenix Women's Centre Shed to cater for women in the community who just want a place to come together to learn, share skills and make long-lasting friendships together.
The SHED is available to all women in the community regardless of age, ethnicity or circumstance and offers a wide range of events and workshops, skills training in a variety of topics and informative talks on todays pressing issues from a woman's perspective,
A key aim of the SHED is to provide a safe and relaxing environment with a focus on building and maintaining friendships in the more traditional sense via a cuppa and a chat.

Phoenix Photo Competition
During the Covid restrictions in 2021 Phoenix Women's Centre ran a photo competition to encourage women to get out and about and take images of our beautiful county. The response was overwhelming and produced a very high calibre of competition as a result. See the below gallery for some samples of the great entries we had or click the button underneath the gallery to see all the images and further details on the competition.
