Phoenix Women's SHED News...
Updated: Jul 26, 2022
The Phoenix Women’s S.H.E.D. (Support, Health, Education, Diversity) has now held three events and an Official launch.
We are delighted to say that the word is spreading and support for the SHED is growing rapidly.
We had a fun session of Drumming with Drum Dance Ireland. We have held a public meeting to ask women in Kerry what they would like to do in the SHED; we recorded all suggestions, preferences and interests and we will endeavour to deliver them for the members.

We have had a TAI CHI and Tea Party morning enjoyed by 50 women.
Delicious home baked cakes and chocolates were brought in, displayed and shared - a lovely morning was had by all.

Last week, on 21st July, we had a fabulous morning with Elaine Clancy, who facilitated a beautiful session of Chakra Dancing. Feedback was really positive.
On 15th July we had a fantastic night out at the Meadowlands Hotel to officially launch the SHED and mark the auspicious occasion of the opening the first Women's SHED in Kerry. The food was excellent and we had harp music by Morgan and dance music by Sean Crowley. The venue was perfect.

Our next event, Thursday 28th July 2022 will be hosted by Kerry Education and Training Board (KETB). They will be coming along to tell us all about the experiential courses available within the Social and Health Education Project (SHEP), what they are about, the learning styles used, when they will be starting and where you can access them.
These programmes are about Social and Personal Transformation. There is no charge for these programmes. We we also do some Tai Chi with Rita Crean.
All SHED events, Thursday morning 10.30a.m. - 1.30p.m.
